DJ course
We redesigned how DJing is taught. The ORBITA DJ Method is a structured path between never having played and being ready for the booth, with readiness measured at every stage.

Two formats, one standard
Group or individual, the competency matrix is the same. The pace changes; the standard does not.
Group — 12 classes
3-hour classes, once a week, with the group moving through the method together.
Individual or duo — 10 sessions
Each session starts with a diagnosis and ends with evidence of what you can already do and the next step.

Five stages, from night to star
The method is divided into five readiness stages. Each has criteria you know from day one, and none is skipped because of a high overall score.
- FOUNDATION READY
- MIX READY
- LIBRARY READY
- CLUB READY
- PERFORMANCE READY
How progress is measured
Each competency moves through four states. Practice points show effort; readiness only comes from competence demonstrated and verified by the teacher.
- Know — understand what it is and why
- Hear — recognize it in the sound
- Do — execute it in the booth
- Prove — show it under assessment
The 20-second test
Two grooves with the same pattern. One of them swings: the off-beat sixteenths land a little late. Which one?
Hearing the groove comes before touching it. In the DJ Method, and in the ORBITA Music Lab listening challenges, this ear is trained on purpose.
Exam and portfolio
The course ends with a 20-minute performance exam and a 60-minute portfolio session. Your set is only published with your consent.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to play already?
No. The method starts with the booth and rhythm, and the individual format starts from a diagnosis of where you are.
Which software does the course use?
Rekordbox, from the basics to club level.
What is the difference between group and individual?
The pace. The competency standard and readiness stages are the same in both formats.
Does the course guarantee I will play at events?
No. ORBITA prepares you for the stage and measures whether you are ready; the stage is earned. Those who are ready find real opportunities in the ecosystem, such as ORBITA Stage.
